i learnt alot through the sermon 'fasting'and it really helps..coz i now facing problem..then i guess is bcoz i wasn't sensitive enuf to sense God's word...so i think is bcoz i didn't fast...so from now on...i will fast whenever i face problem so that i can hear God's word clear enuf..

For me, fasting wasnt very impt and after i heard the sermon, I thought differently. Fasting is not something to do only when you have problems & you need God's help, but it'll help us put our focus on God. Also to let us experience becoming part of being more like little jesus-es :) More good things will come from God when we fast & pray!

Fasting.
I didn't know there were so many types of fasting-.-I only knew about the normal fast that is without food, only water. I didn't even know we were allowed to drink soup-.-
So I found Saturday's sermon very useful and enriching, because i do face problems with fasting:S
Like keep getting tempted by my friends to have recess with them(fooooooooooooood!). Fasting requires discipline and i admit i lack of it at times. Temptations do come when i'm fasting..thoughts i usually struggle with are ' Eh, don't eat you will have gastric one leh. Remember that time when you had gastric, the pain was so unbearable? You don't want to suffer that pain again right..so better not fast just go eat. It's okay one, God will understand. ' See how scheming Satan is? But there was once i fasted and hey..I DIDN'T GET ANY GASTRIC AT ALL AND I WASN'T EVEN FEELING HUNGRY!!!!! :D
So gastric shouldn't be an excuse for me not to fast anymore.
Well, I'm gonna start fasting and praying for breakthroughs in areas like studies, and even for my friends to come to know about God and also the parental issues i face. But patience is key, and i know that God will eventually answer me but it would be according to His perfect timing.

I actually dont think that fasting is important for a christian./: And i realized that i only fast when someone reminds me or when there is something real bad happening. But now i see the importance of fasting.

Ive learnt that fasting is spiritual way to bring me closer to God. And also the different ways of fasting. Also learnt that fasting and praying and giving is the ultimate combination. (:

sermon atmosphere wasn't very good, alot of talking + distractions, but on the other hand, SERMON ITSELF WAS AWESOME!
Xuele just shared about it during cg, coz our cell grp has been really going through some pretty rough patches, so its like *wow* God really wants to emphasise this thing to us, we rlly gotta do it! i'm so encouraged and even all the more anxious to start fasting n praying n STICK WITH IT. Although the sermon seems oddly familiar, i know that it came at the exact time where our cg needed it the most, and that even though it will start because of problems, i'll make sure i keep fasting n praying even when everything is going fine, coz i know that it is always good to show God how dedicated you are and how much u wan to grow closer to him. =)

thank God for this sermon. i find it really helpful & come timely. alot of things ive read it from the book 'Fasting'. & i agree that fasting breaks the spirit of heaviness in problems! first time going through so many problems in a positive thinking at this period of time. it's because with God's help! :) i really have the yearn for more! &for my indiv life, ive learnt to fast not only when there's problems! and BE PATIENCE !!!!!

from sermon, i learnt that sometimes our prayers are not answered because we haven't fasted! so its time to fast! :D:D today xuele also shared about fasting &.. its so coincidental! o_O! must be God telling us to start fasting if we wanna see break throughs! :O!
im here to encourage every single one of you! dont give up praying& fasting, not forgetting giving too!! as you can see, each of us face different things too. please be praying hard for one another k! keep one another in prayer.. in protection.. let's not fast only when we're facing problems, but at all times alright! surely, you want to see breakthroughs upon breakthroughs in life yeah? :) dont forget to give Him the glory for what He's doing!! :)
